Game Wallpapers for your desktop

Recently I have added a whole fresh batch of game wallpapers to the wallpaper rotation on my laptop. On my laptop I have Windows 7 and by now you all know it supports wallpaper rotation. What I have in my list is a massive folder of over a thousand different game themed wallpapers. I joined deviantART a few days ago and immediately found out it was a pretty good resource for all things pictographic. Here’s a few of the game wallpapers that I added to my collection in the last hour.

Game wallpapers include:

Final Fantasy VII Wallpapers

Final Fantasy is one of my favorite games of all times and Final Fantasy VII is my favorite of all the FF games. I spent entire days leveling materia, splitting it, leveling it again until I had multiples of them all. I worked out perfect materia combinations for every eventuality. Weeks spent grinding levels, finding nuts and racing chocobos just so I could have the perfect Golden Chocobo, and then starting again with a plain yellow one just so you could get higher stats next time.

I have spent months with this game over the years, multiple playthoughs – each clocking in at roughly 60+ hours each.

Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Wallpaper showing half of Cloud, half of Sephiroth and the rest of the cast down the site including Barret, Cid and RED XIII

With Cloud and Sephiroth both being in my top 10 game characters of all time list this wallpaper hit me like a Meteor (or Ultima depending on which side you favor). My wallpaper collection already has a ton from the Final Fantasy games and it now has even more.

Genesis from Final Fantasy 7 games with a red and white gradiant background – one winged angel, black wing. Has the original Final Fantasy VII Logo at the side.

The Black Wing is pretty striking in game when you first see it and it’s done pretty well in this game wallpaper of Genesis from Crisis Core.

The Legend of Zelda Wallpapers

Another one of my absolute favorite games of all time. Playing Zelda on the NES is one of my earliest memories, playing A Link to the Past on the SNES with my Uncle and Cousin are some of my fondest childhood memories.

The latest game: Skyward Sword brought a lot of new things to the franchise and the more recent ‘Hyrule Historia” answered thousands of questions about the timeline of the games – filling in backstory of a lot of the other characters. All of that as well as the latest stories on ‘Link to the Past on 3DS remake VS Majora’s Mask on 3DS remake’ is why game was on the forefront of my mind.

Skyward Sword Wallpaper for Desktop – 5 panels sky backdrop with Skyward Sword logo

It’s not been long since I played Skyward Sword but I was amazed at how fresh the colors looked – this wallpaper shows that completely.

This is based upon the cover art from The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess.

The cover art from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was pretty epic. It was gold and silver, shiny and grungy at the same it. It rocked and so does this Skyward Sword game wallpaper.

Other Game Wallpapers Worth Seeing – Pokemon, Kingdom Hearts, Okami

I’m putting the whole gallery in the next page but there were a few that I though really deserved a featured spot.

Okami

Check out this Okami wallpaper. It looks like it was painted back in classical Japanese history onto parchment – captures the art style of the game perfectly

I never played Okami when it came out on PS2 back in 2001, apparently not many people did. I played it on the Wii with motion controls – as did most people – where the huge following comes from. They are working on a 360 and PS3 version just now.

When it comes to game wallpapers this is one of the coolest ones I have in my collection.

Pokemon

From left to right: Mew – Pink, Phione – Blue, Jirachi – Yellow and Celebi – Green

Pokemon is always popular every generation. Pokemon Black and White 2 are both out yet. I think it’s a strange choice for them to release it on DS when the 3DS has already been out for a year but maybe they have a 3DS game in the works just now too.

Kingdom Hearts

Roxas and Sora Kindgom Hearts II wallpaper

Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance 3D is available now on 3DS. I’m looking forward to playing it, are you?

All of these wallpapers are in a gallery on the next page as well as the rest of my new collection.
