Ubisoft is a leading producer, publisher and distributor of interactive entertainment products worldwide. With development subsidiaries and distribution offices in just about every region with a market for videogame software, Ubisoft is present around the globe. Created by the five Guillemot brothers in 1986, the company served the European PC market and grew strong enough to support in-house software development for the company's breakthrough game title, Rayman. After going public in 1996, the company expanded as an international publishing and development studio with hit titles that included the Tom Clancy line, Far Cry, Prince of Persia, Assassin's Creed, Raving Rabbids and many more.
Originally known as Ubi Soft (two words), the company changed its logo and contracted its name in late 2003.
